Film Studies 01

In the past semester, I've been working to learn as much as I can about digital painting. I've heard that film studies can be really useful when trying to learn the medium, and I have to say that they're definitely a lot of fun to try out. These two paintings, one from "Black Swan" and the other from "The Dark Knight" are around 2-3 hours each and focus on using the accurate color as well as how to create the forms quickly without getting too caught up in detail. It was a fun exercise and I hope to do more soon! Thanks for looking!!

Wooow~! These look awesome! I'd never considered doing studies from films before, but thinking about it, it makes a lot of sense. Great job!

Thanks Yani! I never thought about it either, but it's really great practice, and there are so many films and scenes to play around with!
